Data we may collect
Depending on how you use the service, Voygen may process the following categories of data:
- Identity and account data such as email address, authentication identifiers, display name and account status.
- Travel planning content such as generated itineraries, saved tours, favorites, shared trip links and interactions with planning features.
- Technical, usage and security data such as logs, IP-derived security information, device or browser context, prompts sent to AI features and error diagnostics.
- Support, transactional and local-storage related data such as messages sent to support, password reset flows, account deletion requests or device-side preferences needed to keep the service working.
Purposes and legal bases
Operate your account
Voygen uses account and authentication data to create accounts, sign users in, manage sessions and protect access. Legal basis: performance of the service requested by the user.
Provide travel features
Voygen uses itinerary, favorites and interaction data to generate travel suggestions and keep your saved content available across sessions. Legal basis: performance of the service and legitimate interest in product functionality.
Secure and improve the service
Voygen uses technical logs, diagnostics and support exchanges to prevent abuse, resolve incidents and improve reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interest and, where required, compliance with legal obligations.
Recipients and processors
Personal data may be accessed only by people or service providers who need it to operate the service, including:
- Render, which hosts parts of the website and backend infrastructure.
- Firebase authentication services used to manage certain sign-in and account flows.
- Brevo, currently used as the SMTP provider for certain transactional account emails.
- Google and, if enabled, compatible AI providers such as OpenAI, involved in generating travel content when those features are used.
- Mapbox, used for interactive maps and route rendering in the mobile application.
- Unsplash for destination images, and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim geocoding services for place resolution.
- Technical service providers whose tools are necessary for diagnostics, storage or infrastructure security.
International transfers
Some providers used by Voygen may process data outside your country. When this happens, transfers rely on the provider's contractual commitments, security measures and any legally required safeguards.
Retention
- Account data is kept while your account remains active, then deleted or archived when no longer necessary.
- Generated content, saved tours and favorites are retained for the duration needed to provide the service or until you delete them or request account deletion. Public share links are retained until they expire or are removed earlier following account deletion.
- Usage events, security logs and diagnostics are retained only for the period reasonably necessary to protect, troubleshoot and improve the service.
- Legal or accounting records may be retained longer where a law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you may object to some processing. You can exercise these rights by writing to contact@voygen.io. If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, including the CNIL in France.
Account deletion
Voygen provides an account deletion process. When you request deletion, the service removes the account, owned tours, favorites, user-linked activity events and public share links created from those tours, unless some retention is required for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.
You can request account deletion from the dedicated page: Delete your account.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses limited technical storage mechanisms, including browser local storage for language preferences and core site operation. The mobile application may also use secure or local device storage for session tokens, language preferences, recent trips, favorites and ticket attachments. Voygen does not describe any advertising cookie program on this page.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or product changes. The updated version is published on this page with a revised update date.
